Hi, I’m Evi (she/her), I am a registered clinical counsellor licensed throught the BC association for clinical counsellors. I have masters-level education and training in counselling, with specialized research in ADHD and self-esteem.
My approach is warm, curious and non-judgemental. I find this helps us create a feeling of safety and refuge in your therapy session. My aim is to guide you toward relief through safe, supportive and evidence-based psychotherapy. I am especially passionate about helping clients to build acceptance around body-image, and feel a sense of confidence and self-trust.
I work with clients who’ve experienced low mood, anxiety, eating disorders, difficult relationships, adhd-related challenges and inner feelings of “not good enough.”
I believe deeply in the power of counselling and I have had my own experiences as a client. I consider my work a privilege and that counselling is for everyone.
About Evi Koehl MC, RCC.
counselling approaches used
I use a combination of Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Narrative therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I tailor my approach to meet my clients needs and and offer both practical mental health tools as well as emotional processing for lasting change.
My counselling approach is gentle, honest and trauma-informed. Sessions incorporate your needs and preferences as much as possible, while also shaping the session to make it count. You can expect sessions that are engaging and non-judgemental and which embrace feminist, queer, neurodivergent and multicultural ways of knowing.
